We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Hospitality Manager to join the MacRostie Winery hospitality team! Reporting to the Hospitality and Events Manager, this role is responsible for directly supporting the Hospitality & Events Manager (HEM) with all aspects of tasting room (TR) management, large group and event planning. This role serves as the lead tasting room manager 4-5 days/week, as well as has day to day ownership of a variety of Estate House and event management responsibilities. This role is based in Healdsburg, CA and is a Full-time, exempt position, working mandatory weekends with two consecutive days off during the week. Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hospitality or wine sales experience
- 3+ years of leadership / management experience
- Tasting room management preferred
- Event management experience preferred
- College degree preferred
- Understanding of world class service and hospitality
standards
- Strong people management skills
Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead TR manager (4-5 days/week)
- Oversees all reservation and large group requests
- Manages responses to all guest feedback
- Mastery of all order management and CRM systems
- Mastery of all TR procedures and protocols
- Leads all hospitality communications and initiatives
- Provides event planning support with clients including confirming
event details, securing contracts, managing logistics, vendor
management, payment processing & post event follow-up
- Key liaison with event planner and tour affiliate partners including
relationship development and growth
- Participate in 12+ external consumer tasting events throughout
Sonoma and the Bay Area annually
- Help plan and manage all wine club member onsite events
- Key TR liaison with the Guest Services team to ensure TR team is
aware of all current order and club management protocols are
understood and followed
- Co-manage payroll for accuracy and timely submission
- Key liaison with new TR hires during the on-boarding process
ensuring all necessary paperwork, required wine and hospitality
education, systems training and mentoring has been completed
