Family-owned and operated, high-end, estate winery in Sonoma County, Russian River Valley is looking for an onsite ambassador and estate representative, this is a Direct to Consumer, Wine Club and Hospitality position playing an integral role in a small and dynamic team.

Job Qualifications:

We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and self-motivated hospitality professional with sound knowledge of Sonoma County wine and, more generally, the world of fine wine.

Wine Club/Direct to Consumer:

Minimum 5 years of experience in Wine Club coordination, Direct Sales and Hospitality
Directly interface with avid wine collectors and high net worth individuals
Professional/positive demeanor
Exceptional customer service skills
Timely follow up
Excellent writing and computer skills (word processing, proficient in Excel, email)
Familiarity navigating DTC e-commerce platforms and reporting
Familiarity with email campaign software
Ability to navigate within HTML coding template
Knowledge with state shipping laws and Ship Compliant platform
Knowledge running a wine club, club allocations, logistics with Federal Express, UPS
Willing and able to physically assist with packaging wine club and wine orders

Hospitality:

Experience in a luxury hospitality environment (fine dining or high-end winery).
Demonstrated passion and dedication to learning about the world of fine wine. Candidates with some formal wine education preferred.
An understanding of the requirements needed to provide a quality, high-touch experience:

Possess a team mentality with an ability to take the initiative and/or provide support for all hospitality needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct to Consumer – 75%

Point of contact for Wine Club, DTC sales and inquiries
Pre-Release outreach (Spring and Fall)
Release coordination (Spring and Fall)
Mailing List Cleanup/Prep with ongoing mailing list management
Automatic Allocation Processing
Order supplies
Vendor Communication
Sku Setup/Order Testing
Email campaign coordination and testing
Website
Sales Analysis and Reporting
Inventory management and bi-monthly physical inventory
Compliance
Strong Skills with Ship Compliant
Assist with updating DTC compliance lists and notifying manager when fixes are needed.
Assist with wine label registration, maintenance and quarantined orders as needed.
Networking to drive business

Hospitality - 25%

Strong skills to coordinate wine club and DTC with Hospitality Lead and assist Hospitality team
Thorough understanding and ability to communicate the vision and story in a professional and engaging way.
Ensure that all tastings are set up well in advance of scheduled appointments. This includes:
Decanting wine
Food preparation
Table settings/Menus
Assist with procuring agreed upon food for each tasting.
Coordinate with third-party purveyors and our in-house chef for events.
Assist with event execution as needed.
Make sure all hospitality areas are clean and suitable for guests.
Make sure all hospitality vehicles are in good condition for daily tours.
Assist in maintaining all fresh floral arrangements in the hospitality areas.
Follow up in a timely manner with guests post visit.

Qualifications

Able to travel by car and operate hospitality vehicles.
Must have valid CA driver’s license
Able to sit at and operate a computer.
Able to lift standard hospitality supplies (including but not limited to 50 pound cases of wine) intermittently.
Able to push, pull, shove up to 50 pounds intermittently
Occasional bending, twisting, and climbing intermittently
Able to walk in vineyards and other uneven surfaces. Able to work in a kitchen with cooking tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytic skills. Strong Computer skills, fast and accurate typing, mastery of Microsoft Office/Excel.
Previous POS knowledge, Commerce7, Wine Direct, Cellar Pass, Tock, UPS, Federal Express, and ShipCompliant
Wine Industry/Administrative Experience.
Marketing experience including both mass and direct.

Other Qualifications (Includes licenses, certificates, age, etc.)

Valid California driver’s license and be insurable by the company.
Willing to work 5 days per week (Tuesday through Saturday) and additional time as required
Must be 21 years of age
WSET Level 1 or 2 is preferred
RBS Certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
