Winery Facilities Manager – Be the GLUE that holds us together!
You literally hold the entire operation together – you’re the person who is in demand the most. Everyone appreciates your role in ensuring the facility and operation run like a Swiss watch.
WHO WE ARE:
Dry Creek Vineyard, one of Sonoma County’s premier family-owned legacy wineries, is seeking a Facilities Manager to join our incredible team! We are a collection of passionate, fun-loving professionals whose dedication to fine wine and connecting with others is at the heart and soul of each bottle that we produce. Now in our 52nd year of operation, we are firmly committed to a “No Compromises” mentality, producing appellation-focused, terroir-driven, varietal-defining wines. We are 100% certified sustainable, and we care deeply about our wines, our customers, and each other. If our philosophy speaks to you, we want YOU to be a part of our team!
You’ll oversee a landscaper and maintenance mechanic at our winery. You and your team are the superheroes of the winery, ensuring the grounds and public-facing areas are beautiful, the production and bottling operations are humming along, and the administrative offices and areas are good to go! As you probably know, one day can include a range of issues that you’ve got to solve including the air conditioning failure for the top floor offices, a pump in production is leaking, the fuses just blew in the tasting room, and no one can figure out why the alarm system is making a loud buzzing sound in the barrel rooms. Your job will include on-site maintenance with your team, bringing in outside vendors like HVAC repair when the job requires outside expertise, setting priorities daily, and establishing PM’s for all our equipment to minimize the effect of downtime from equipment breakage and failure.
You love being given the reins to be proactive, to set the priorities for your team without being micro-managed, and you really enjoy the fact that the entire organization appreciates and cares about you every day. You especially like the fact that our team sees you as a Superhero holding everything together.
