Field Recordings Winery is expanding its tasting room team! We are a growing winery in the Tin City neighborhood of Paso Robles.

Winery/hospitality experience is not required but would be a nice perk. We are looking for people who have a great attitude and are ready to learn. Our winery is all about the flavor, with none of the pretension.

We are looking for a full-time employee who has an interest in wine/hospitality and has great people skills. Weekend availability is a must. Pay is hourly plus tips and commission.

Guest Services

Greet all visitors with enthusiasm, a warm welcome attitude, and create a memorable tasting experience
Lead guests through wine tasting flights – educating them about the Field Recordings story, wines, techniques, and brand in an approachable and friendly manner
Work towards developing relationships with guests to convert into Wine Club members, and also build relationships with current Wine Club members
Strong ability to sell wine and various club memberships to all types of customers
Effectively suggest and sell wine, with the ability to “up-sell”
Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of facilities
Provide exceptional service and go the extra mile for all guests visiting Field Recordings

Tasting Room Operations

Set up / break down all indoor and outdoor tasting room spaces
Open and verify the condition of wines
Prepare printed guest materials
Open/Close POS system/registers
Stock wine and merchandise on the tasting room floor and store rooms
Perform sales transactions for carry-out and shipping orders
Maintain clean and organized guest spaces at all times
Assist with weekly and monthly inventory of items for the Tasting Room, including wine and non-wine items
Assist with outreach programming
Assist with special wine club-related projects to ensure retention and conversion.

Qualifications

Must have knowledge of wine and food, and continually take initiative to continue learning
Enthusiastic, passionate, and dynamic communication style
Comfortable speaking in front of crowds
Self-aware, able to work independently, and driven to make a difference
Must have a positive attitude and outlook with the ability to work within a team atmosphere
Must possess or have the ability to acquire a Wine service and Food Handler’s certifications
Capable of remaining calm and professional during peak visitor periods.
Must be 21 years of age
Must be able to lift 40 lbs
Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout an 8-hour shift with occasional pushing, stooping, and pulling in indoor and outdoor work environments
Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
MUST be able to work weekends, holidays, wine event weekends, and during peak season
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (via telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face) are required.
Proficiency in POS systems and CRM software.
Able to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
Interact with the public and staff in a positive, professional manner.
