Overview
The Tasting Room Concierge & Administrative Support is responsible for providing an exceptional first impression and outstanding customer service to all visitors of the tasting room. This seasonal position requires an enthusiastic, professional, and organized individual who can effectively manage guest flow, handle reservations, and assist with light administrative and sales duties. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality and wine.
What you’ll do
· Welcome all guests in a warm, professional, and engaging manner, ensuring a positive initial experience.
· Perform standard tasting room functions including guest check-in, point-of-sale transactions, and wine club pick-ups and exchanges.
· Promote wine, food, and merchandise offerings, and effectively communicate wine club benefits to encourage membership enrollment.
· Support daily operations including opening and closing procedures, restocking, maintaining POS systems, and assisting with inventory management.
· Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all guest and retail areas.
· Ensure compliance with company standards, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
· Work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required.
Administrative Support
· Provide administrative and operational support for direct-to-consumer (DTC) initiatives including visitation, sales, and membership growth and retention.
· Assist with execution of marketing and communication campaigns across digital, web, and email platforms.
· Support wine club and customer communications through phone, SMS, and email correspondence.
· Utilize CRM and POS systems (Commerce7, RedChirp) to manage customer data, personalize outreach, and enhance guest experiences.
Additional Responsibilities
· Uphold and promote PRW’s values and culture in all business and employee interactions.
· Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
· Proactively identify and recommend improvements related to safety, service, sales, merchandising, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the management team to support DTC, hospitality, and event operations.
Qualifications
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· A minimum of 2 years of proven hospitality and sales experience in the wine industry is preferred.
· Proficiency with POS and CRM systems (Commerce7 and RedChirp experience preferred).
· Basic knowledge of wine, winemaking processes, and Russian River Valley appellations.
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
· Goal-oriented and sales-driven mindset.
· Knowledge of shipping and inventory management.
· Dependable with exceptional attention to detail.
· Professional appearance and demeanor.
· Passion for hospitality, wine, sales, and guest engagement.
· Ability to stand, walk, and engage with guests for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly (and occasionally up to 100 lbs).
· Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events (including some evenings).
· Valid California Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required.
