JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bulk Wine Sample Coordinator to join our team. This fast-paced role requires the successful candidate to work directly with Customer Account Representatives, Brokers, and Clients to manage the inflow and outflow of bulk wine samples. The ability to make quick, informed decisions and prioritize the movement of samples is essential to ensure timely and efficient operations. The Bulk Wine Sample Coordinator will play a key role in optimizing team productivity and achieving goals around efficiency, making market knowledge and collaboration skills vital for success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives shipments by unloading vehicles and/or accepting deliveries.
- Documents items received by recording identifying information.
- Processes receipts of wine samples into Inventory Management System ensuring that system quantities and on-hand quantities are accurate, advising Customer Account Representative of any discrepancies with wine type, vintage, varietal, appellation percentages, storage location, etc.
- Labels and shelves samples including organizing, rearranging, consolidating wines on shelves in order to use space efficiently and locate items quickly.
- Cleans on-hand inventory of samples older than 60 days or wines that are no longer available for sale by dumping wines, recycling glass and performing the necessary transactions in the Inventory Management System to maintain accurate inventory.
- Pulls, packs, and processes wine samples for in-house tastings and/or shipment via parcel carrier or own courier.
- Determines method of shipment by using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum):

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Keyboard efficiently - Type 40 WPM.
- Knowledge of UPS and FedEx Shipping Systems.
- Competent with in-house Inventory Management System.
- Internet Browser - Must know how to efficiently surf the Internet and search for information relevant to the business.
LICENSE, REGISTRATION:
Required to possess current and valid California Driver’s License, acceptable DMV record, and proof of current vehicle insurance.

Employee may be required to lift to 100 pounds and maneuver and reach cases of wine and wine bottles from boxes on floors and shelves. Employee is required to label, shelf, and dump wines.
