Southwest Mountains Vineyards is seeking a strategic, creative, and results-oriented Marketing Manager to lead and execute integrated marketing initiatives across our luxury wine and hospitality brand.
This role is responsible for brand positioning, content strategy, digital marketing, and revenue-driving initiatives across Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), hospitality, events, and wholesale channels. The Marketing Manager will work closely with leadership and department heads to strengthen brand awareness, increase visitation, and support long-term business growth.
This is a full-time exempt position reporting directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual marketing strategies aligned with business goals, with a focus on DTC growth, customer acquisition, retention, and wine club membership.
- Manage and optimize digital marketing channels, including website, email marketing, e-commerce, SEO/SEM, paid media, and social media.
- Lead content strategy and creative direction, overseeing photography, videography, design, copywriting, and storytelling initiatives.
- Drive measurable business results through marketing efforts, monitoring key performance indicators including conversion, engagement, customer acquisition costs, retention, and revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Tasting Room, Wine Club, Events, and Sales teams to increase visitation, reservations, bookings, and customer engagement.
- Support wholesale and trade efforts through the development of sales materials, brand assets, and event marketing initiatives.
- Manage public relations efforts, media outreach, partnerships, and influencer relationships to enhance brand visibility.
- Oversee external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners to ensure consistent execution and adherence to brand standards.
- Manage the marketing budget and provide regular reporting on campaign performance, key metrics, and return on investment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated success in driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
- Experience within wine, hospitality, luxury lifestyle, tourism, or premium consumer brands strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to inform strategy and optimize performance.
- Experience working with marketing budgets, agencies, creative partners, and external vendors.
- Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp
- Familiarity with website and e-commerce platforms, including Commerce7, Wix, WordPress, or Shopify.
- Experience with paid social advertising, particularly within Meta Ads Manager.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
- Strong photography and videography capabilities, including capturing and editing lifestyle, event, wine, and hospitality content.
- Experience creating short-form video content for social media platforms.
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, and other content creation tools.
- Experience with influencer partnerships, brand collaborations, and event marketing.
- Passion for wine, hospitality, food, travel, and experiential brands.
Work Environment
- Based on-site in Keswick, Virginia at Southwest Mountains Vineyards.
- Evening, weekend, and event-based hours are occasionally required as part of hospitality operations.
- Regular collaboration with winery, events, hospitality, and ownership teams.
