JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to perform compliance and wine tracking activities associated with production operations at Woodbridge Winery. The Wine Tracking Assistant provides guidance and support to cross functional departments (Enology, Packaging/Cellar operations, Finance, etc.) to ensure the winery is operating within mandated compliance regulations. This position provides tracking and financial duties that include inventory management and timely government reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Track and maintain real-time status of wine movements and inventory.
- Ensure integrity of data within reporting databases (Vintrace, SAP and departmental spreadsheets).
- Maintain records for wine transactions, wine analysis, and compositions. Also maintain Packaging/Barrel operations within affected wine systems.
- Prepare work orders/documents for various wine activities (transfers, blending, racks and additions for both wine and juice).
- Daily work order processing to ensure real time checks and balances for wine production and/or wine movements.
- Inventory processing: Responsible for tank inventory reconciliation. Responsible for fiscal year-end inventory and reconciliation of both tanks and barrels.
- Assist Weighmaster with Scale operations for both inbound/outbound Tankers and Grape trucks.
- Assist Wine Information Team with Scale operations for both inbound/outbound Tankers/Grape trucks. Also, harvest activities include Grape Truck Inspection, Staging, Check-in and traffic coordination.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience (equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable)
- Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Detail-oriented
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong math skills
- Excellent time and resource management skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Skilled in writing reports, presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, suppliers and internal customers
- Skilled with systems such as Vintrace, SAP
- Experience solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work flexible hours; up to 8 to 12 hours per day/6 days per week.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required.

COMPENSATION
- Hourly Pay Rate Posted: $18.00/hr.
- Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position-related factors.
