We're looking for someone who can keep things flowing (literally), make the bottling line hum with efficiency, and support our team with purpose and positivity.
Job Purpose:
The Bottling Lead provides day-to-day leadership to our hardworking bottling line operators, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You’ll work closely with the Winemaker, Cellar Master, and Production Supervisor , and play a key role in keeping our wine ready for the world to enjoy.
What You’ll Do:
Bottling Lead Responsibilities:
- Direct and support hourly Bottling team members.
- Lead daily bottling operations and workflow.
- Maintain accurate bottling and downtime records.
- Train Operators on setup, operation, and care of bottling equipment.
- Assist with maintenance, changeovers, sanitation, and documentation.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to product specs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and logistics.
- Monitor inventory and order consumables as needed.
- Champion safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement.
- Promote a positive team environment and resolve issues effectively.
Production Worker Support:
- Assist in winery operations including harvest, fermentation, blending, racking, and cleaning.
- Operate pumps, filters, crushers, presses, and forklifts.
- Participate in special events and daily work orders.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean work environment.
Scale House Duties (Seasonal):
- Accurately weigh and record truck loads during Crush season.
- Collect wine samples and ensure accurate load documentation.
- Maintain orderly scale operations and support harvest logistics.
What You Bring to the Table:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of bottling or production experience, preferably with high-speed equipment.
- Proven leadership skills with sound judgment and the ability to manage conflict.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-pressure environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Forklift experience preferred; forklift certification required.
- Commitment to safety protocols and use of proper PPE.
- Physically capable, adaptable, and willing to perform demanding tasks — including working at heights.
- Flexible to work long shifts, extended hours, and 6–7 days/week during Harvest.
