As the Business Manager, you will oversee, direct and manage business operations, working closely with our leadership team/managers; helping all areas to function efficiently, cost effectively, and at maximum potential.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
All accounting including payables/receivables, payroll, liquor reports, liquor taxes, state and federal reports, daily sales deposit tracking, credit card processor management.
Proficiency in company software systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, VinNOW, Commerce7, Google Docs, QuickBooks, & Outlook.
Budgeting and fiscal management through P&L, cash forecasts, balance sheet, COGS, and pricing strategies.
Works with Integrator to facilitate daily/weekly/monthly/annual decisions. Ensures timely compliance by corporation with all laws and financial deadlines.
Manages departmental business planning, training, and quality improvement.
Tax planning and form management. Submits alcohol tax applications and reports. Works with accounting firm and financial institutions regarding normal business operations. Seeks changes that offer tax advantages.
Analyzes financial performance, identifies opportunities for operational improvements, and makes recommendations to enhance profitability.
Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) with Retail Manager.
Ensures compliance with financial regulations, reporting requirements, and tax obligations.
Ensures the integrity of systems and databases as it pertains to winery operations. Helps Integrator with information technology upgrades, improvement, and troubleshooting.
Questions everything. Keeps a watchful eye on expenses and continually searches for savings.
Manages the Employee Handbook. Upholds the policies and procedures of the employee manual by communicating with staff.
Administrates health care plan and communicates plan information to participants.
Administrates retirement program and communicates plan information to participants.
Human Resources; communicates policies to staff. Assists with onboarding, resignations, and discharges. Manages sick days and PTO.
Maintains personnel files.
Facilitates licensing and reporting for DTC sales (Direct Shipping).
Orders and manages office supplies.
Customer service. Answers the business phone line. Responds to general email requests.
Utilizes remaining time available by helping in the areas of marketing, club management, tasting room management, and event management.
Future Business Development. Helps in the development of the company into markets that are profitable and new to the company to include additional tasting rooms, co-pack, private label, distillery, cidery, and other possible ventures that complement the winery business.

Pay: $57,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
