ATA Ranches is looking for a Viticulture Technician to work at our vineyard here in Paso Robles, CA. ATA Ranches is local vineyard harvesting and selling local grape to wineries around the area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administrative duties to do with vineyard management.
- Vineyard scouting for beneficial and pest organisms.
- Continued education pertaining to wine and viticulture.
- Phenological data collection, entry and analysis.
- Tissue and harvest sampling.
- Brix, pH and TA analysis.
- Sourcing parts for vineyard equipment.
- Prioritizes and appropriately schedules assignments or tasks to meet established deadlines.
- Ensure high accuracy of work product.
- May be required to work overtime.
- Use logic to solve problems with effective solutions.
Perform other relevant duties as required.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of basic computer programs and irrigation platforms.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction with limited supervision.
- Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior.
- Ability to meet all safety requirements.
- Ability to read, communicate, and understand the English language with Spanish a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers and peers, both written and verbally.
Education, Experience, Certification, and training:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- College level viticulture degree highly desirable.
- PCA or QAL highly desirable.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Highly accurate data entry skills required.
- Valid California class C drivers license and insurable.

Office:
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry 50 lbs., perceive depth and operate a motor vehicle.
- Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. May work around machines with moving parts and moving objects. Working closely with others or working alone. Working extended or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation.
- Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include but not limited to computers and related equipment, and vehicles. Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, hardhat, reinforced toed shoes, coveralls, gloves, and ear plugs.
