What the Events Lead does!
Responsibilities
As a part-time Events Lead, you are vital to creating unforgettable experiences, whether it be a fairytale wedding or an offsite team building event, you have an opportunity to make a vision come to life. You will be responsible for working in collaboration with the Events Service Manager to oversee the event guest experience, all staff and ensure that all policies and procedures of Testarossa Winery are upheld. Working at our historic site in Los Gatos (typically) Wednesday - Sunday (schedule based on event bookings), the day-to-day may include:
- Reviewing Banquet Event Orders as furnished by the Private Events Coordinator
- Delegating all tasks that are necessary before, during and after an event including but not limited to: preparation of glasses, table set up/tear-down and wine beverage station.
- Communicating with culinary staff to ensuring all timing and execution of event food service is successful
- Ensuring quality control of all wines poured and record daily wine usage
- Ensuring the client’s expectations are met and exceeded throughout the event
- Educating guests on Testarossa history, vineyard partners and wines
- Assisting with training, motivation, support and supervision of staff
- Assist vendors and ensure all vendors adhere to our policies
Requirements
- 2+ years serving, catering or event experience required
- Experience in event execution preferred
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain organization of an event
- Strong communication skills, able to work under pressure and time sensitive tasks
- Passion for wine in your day-to-day life
- Positive and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Willingness to learn, adapt, take initiative, and follow through
- Ability to thrive in a challenging environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Wednesday - Sunday availability, available days and evenings, and weekends, occasional holidays
- Work environment is both indoor and outdoor
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs frequently throughout the duration of the shift
- Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs for the duration of the shift while carrying trays for food and beverage service
