Tasting Room Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Tasting Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our tasting room in Pike Place Market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exceptional customer service and a strong background in the food and beverage industry. This role is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for our guests while ensuring smooth operations within the tasting room environment.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the tasting room, including occasional temporary team members to schedule your vacation time off,
Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
Oversee food handling and preparation processes to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. We only serve light bites.
Develop and implement tasting room programs that enhance guest experiences, including special events, wine club, and educational tastings.
Maintain inventory levels of wine, food, and supplies; place orders as necessary.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the tasting room area at all times.
Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist in marketing efforts to promote the tasting room through social media and other channels.

Requirements

Proven experience in the food service or wine industry, preferably tasting room experience.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
Knowledge of small bite food handling and preparation techniques is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests.
Ability to work Wednesday through Saturday or Thursday through Sunday (more tips).
Familiarity with wine varieties is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
