As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for curating an exceptional wine selection, providing expert wine recommendations, and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities:
- Curate and manage an extensive wine list that complements the menu offerings
- Provide personalized wine recommendations to guests based on their preferences and food choices
- Ensure proper storage and handling of wines to maintain quality and freshness
- Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for staff and customers
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to pair wines with dishes on the menu
- Stay updated on industry trends, new vineyards, and emerging wine regions
Skills:
- Strong background in food service and restaurant operations
- Proficiency in cash handling and POS systems
- Knowledge of menu planning and food pairing principles
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction
- Ability to upsell wines and increase revenue through suggestive selling techniques
