Allegretto Vineyard Resort is looking for a dynamic and masterful Chef to join our culinary team in the role of Executive Chef. This talented individual will be responsible for the Culinary Team to ensure smooth operation of the division and provide leadership for culinary excellence that results in positioning of Allegretto Vineyard Resort, Cello Ristorante & Bar as the world class leader. In addition, the Chef will provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests and team members. Showing that the Chef cares about people, values teamwork and delivers results.

Responsibilities Include:

Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
Modifying menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Perform administrative duties to include scheduling and monitoring food and labor costs
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with resort guests and team members
Produce menu items and ensure they are prepared and served to Four Diamond Standards
Train, Mentor and educate all kitchen staff
Oversee menu development to include restaurant, bar, in-room dining and banquets
Oversee and assist with inventory control

Requirements and Skills:

Minimum five (5) years culinary experience in a high-volume combined restaurant, resort, lounge and banquets
Fluent in written and spoken English. Bilingual an asset
Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office required and knowledge of purchasing systems is an asset.
Degree in Hospitality/Culinary Management preferred; Certified in Food Handling and HACCAP.
Proven record in delivering operating results in high volume- four-star resort
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keeping up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs
Experience with assembling and mentoring a culinary team
Passion for customer service with a positive attitude

This position is eligible to participate in the F&B incentive program

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
