Job Summary

The Accounting Assistant provides support to the Office Manager by performing daily clerical tasks, including processing, and recording of transactions, fielding communication with clients, customers, and vendors, filing and other duties as needed. This position will also be responsible for overseeing out of state tax compliance.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday 8-hour days.

Essential Duties

· Key data into the company accounting system

· Print and process invoices from the accounting email address

· Enter and code financial transactions appropriately

· Process accounts payable invoices and payments

· Process accounts receivable invoices and payments

· Vendor set up and W-9 verification

· Reconcile vendor statements

· Filing

· Support everyday functions and resolve questions within the department

· Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports

Job Requirements/Qualifications

· Education/Experience: A.A. degree in Accounting or Business or 2 years work experience in accounting/bookkeeping

· Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

· Knowledge: Familiarity with the Wine Industry not a requirement

· Equipment: General office equipment

· Other Qualifications: Professional and friendly phone demeanor

Work Environment

Most of the day will be spent in an office environment with occasional trips to other departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
