Accendo Estate is a grower-owned Napa Valley winery dedicated to crafting classically styled, site-expressive Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. Rooted in a decade of winemaking excellence under the Araujo family and winemaker Nigel Kinsman, the estate is now stewarded by the Bettinelli family and Jack Bittner.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Sales & Member Outreach
• Drive direct-to-consumer wine sales through tasting room interactions, mailing list outreach, and direct offer campaigns.
• Manage and execute direct offers using Offset (POS/CRM), including building offers, tracking responses, processing orders, and following up with members.
• Maintain and grow the mailing list through thoughtful guest engagement, accurate data entry, and proactive outreach.
• Cultivate lasting relationships with existing members and prospects, with the goal of converting interest into purchases and building long-term loyalty.
• Respond to email and phone inquiries in a timely, professional manner using Accendo Estate’s brand voice and verbiage.
• Skillfully maintain accurate records and detailed customer notes in Offset.
Compliance & Fulfillment
• Ensure all direct-to-consumer shipments comply with applicable state regulations using Sovos ShipCompliant.
• Coordinate order fulfillment with M7, our third-party fulfillment house, including order submission, tracking, and resolving any issues.
• Assist with order entry, inventory management, and packing as needed.
• Maintain a working knowledge of DTC compliance requirements and flag any issues to the manager.
Hospitality & Guest Experience
• Host tour and tasting experiences that are thoughtful, engaging, and sales-driven.
• Convey an atmosphere of elegant accommodation while graciously managing the guest experience — keeping experiences on schedule, monitoring wine service, and warmly welcoming all guests.
• Set up for tastings and events across all spaces (office, tasting room, and the Pavilion) and ensure thorough clean-up when they conclude.
• Assist with all hospitality activities ranging from intimate tastings to lunches and dinner events.
• Maintain professional and courteous communication at all times with guests, colleagues, and partners.
• Have an innate ability to be flexible and adapt to the evolving needs of the team and guests.
QUALIFYING SKILLS
• Experience with highly allocated wine or luxury brands is preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in a direct sales, wine club, or customer-facing hospitality role.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a relationship-driven environment.
• Excellent guest service skills and demonstrated ability to engage with an affluent customer base.
• Comfort working with POS/CRM systems; experience with Offset or similar platforms a plus.
• Familiarity with DTC wine shipping compliance (Sovos ShipCompliant or similar) preferred.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Superb and relatable presentation skills.
• Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities and solving problems in an elegant, timely, and effective manner.
• Energetic, hard-working, and committed individual who works well within, and complements, a small team.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively across sales, compliance, and hospitality responsibilities.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policy.
• Experience with online databases and proprietary software preferred.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Required to work on weekends and holidays.
