Venue & Events Manager
Location: Cannon River Winery, Cannon Falls, MN 55009
Type: Seasonal Contract (April–November)

About the Role
We are a scenic winery hosting 35+ weddings and private events each season, along with Wine Club gatherings and other in-house experiences.
We are seeking an experienced Venue & Events Manager to lead planning, coordination, and day-of execution for all winery events.
This role focuses on event logistics, client and vendor communications, and on-site management, ensuring each event runs smoothly and professionally.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Coordination
- Serve as the primary planning contact for booked couples and event clients
- Coordinate event timelines, layouts, and logistics
- Communicate with clients and vendors leading up to events
- Conduct venue walkthroughs and planning meetings
Event Execution
- Direct staff and vendors on event days
- Manage timelines and event flow
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth execution
Team Leadership
- Supervise event assistants and part-time event staff
- Colaborate with Bar Manager and staff
- Coordinate setup and teardown
- Ensure venue spaces are prepared for events
Collaboration
- Work closely with GM on policies, client experience, and operational standards
- Provide regular updates on upcoming events and logistics
What We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience managing weddings or large events (75–250 guests)
- Confidence directing vendors and event staff
- Strong organizational and timeline management skills
- Ability to stay calm and solution-focused under pressure
- A collaborative mindset and strong client communication skills
Event Types
Events include:
- Winery weddings
- Private celebrations
- Wine Club events
- Seasonal winery experiences (Sip & Shop, etc.)

Base Pay + Per Event Bonus
Base (seasonal salary):
$45k–$60k equivalent depending on experience
PLUS
Per-event bonus paid out at the end of the season
