Duties
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation of all cellar equipment, tanks, and work areas following HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure food safety compliance.
- Support the fermentation process by monitoring temperature, pressure, and other critical parameters to maintain optimal brewing conditions.
- Operate forklifts safely to move ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products within the warehouse or production area.
- Help with packaging operations by assembling bottles for distribution while maintaining quality control standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, sanitation schedules, and inventory movements within the warehouse management system.
- Follow strict food safety protocols and participate in regular training on sanitation procedures and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues on equipment and assist in routine maintenance tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Skills
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures essential for maintaining a clean brewing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP and CGMP standards to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot brewing equipment and forklifts safely.
- Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred; familiarity with food or beverage production is a plus.
- Passion for wine making with previous experience in vineyard or related industries highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new processes.
