We are looking for a competent bilingual (Italian/English) speaking Logistics Coordinator/Personal Assistant to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. They are well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. The primary duties will include acting as the personal assistant to the founder by assisting with letters, emails, and faxes. It will also include booking travel arrangements, arranging winery supplier visits, and assisting with some event planning.
Responsibilities
- Logisitics/Personal Assistant:
- Manage inventory at warehouses and direct pickups and shipments from warehouses to customers.
- Work with sales reps, California accounts, and out-of-state distributors to obtain, reconcile, and fulfill purchase orders.
- Maintain status of orders through entire process.
- Participate in inventory process, researches, and resolves inventory discrepancies.
- Assist sales reps, winery suppliers, and managers in obtaining desired information regarding inventory balances, sales, etc.
- Perform required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Sales and Marketing Facilitator
- Marketing Support: (10% time allocation)
- Organizing major trade fairs/tastings/annual national tastings and other events
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent four years of related experience
- Must be able to read, write and speak Italian
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to input all orders within same day
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow while taking direction from multiple people
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm!
- Acute attention to detail
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Italian wine is a plus.
- This position must be performed on site.
