Lead Bartender
Location: La Vigneta Winery — Sarver, PA
Schedule: Evenings and weekends (minimum 3 nights weekly, with flexibility)
Reports to: Bar Manager / Front of House Manager

As our Lead Bartender, you will be the heart of the bar: crafting drinks, leading the team, and ensuring every guest feels at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the bar during service: set up, run, and break down the bar area to our standard.
- Mentor, train, and support bartenders and bar staff — lead by example and help build a cohesive team.
- Interact directly with guests: craft signature cocktails, pour wines thoughtfully, make recommendations with care.
- Maintain the bar’s inventory and stock: help with ordering, receiving, restocking, and managing par levels.
- Oversee nightly cash-out and side-work: ensure bartenders complete closing tasks, verify side work completion, assist with end-of-shift checkout.
- Work closely with front of house (servers, hosts) to coordinate service flow, guest experience, and communication between bar and dining room.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting bar environment throughout the shift.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service standards, ensure identification checks, manage guest consumption responsibly.
- Contribute ideas to the beverage program: seasonal cocktails, featured wines, specials aligned with our rustic Italian-winery vibe.
- Serve as a leader when the Bar Manager is off duty: handle challenges, guest issues, and staff coordination in the moment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience, with some supervisory or lead-role experience preferred. OysterLink+2careers.greatersatx.com+2
- Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, spirits, and the ability to talk about them confidently with guests.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills: you know how to motivate a team and deliver great guest service.
- Availability for evening shifts, weekends, and some special events; flexible scheduling.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, standing for extended periods, lifting cases, etc. Chron - Work+1
- Responsible and organized: cash handling, inventory control, bar opening/closing tasks.

Pay: From $7.00 per hour
