GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Account Manager position is responsible for maintaining healthy senior relationships with our clients and retaining them, understanding client contracts and providing direction. Execute new product roll out market blitzes, in order to sell new services. Then lead the price quoting, deal desk approval, and client negotiations. The Account Manager is the voice of the client within the Company and the voice of the Company with the client.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focusing on the proactive engagements with existing accounts: reviewing the metrics on Wineshipping.com LLC delivery and client engagement, schedule recurring business reviews and provide analysis/metrics.
- Delivers, a quarterly engagement with all assigned clients (differs by client), which has both a retention focus and a cross-sell focus
- Prepares and presents data for clients on shipment trends, geographic trends and meetings and during business reviews. This helps our clients use our services to their highest benefit.
- Collaborate and with other teams such as Growth, Customer Service and Operations departments to ensure advancement in our client’s goals and projects.
- Learns about new products and services offered by Wineshipping.com LLC, including new features of the Awesome Client Portal.
- Markets new products and services to existing clients in ways that help them run their business more efficiently reducing expenses to serve while they enable them to grow their business.
- Actively manages an existing client pipeline of cross sell opportunities, related to new Wineshipping.com LLC services.
- Directs client issues to Customer Service and trains clients to follow the support model. Account Managers will be provided the capability to see client ticket data in CS dashboards.
- Deal with changing priorities and use good judgment in sometimes stressful situations.
- Communicates effectively written and verbally with a wide range of client personalities and levels of sophistication.
- You may, at times, represent the Company at industry trade events.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in account management; operations and logistics knowledge preferred.
- Proven track record in developing long-term business partnerships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated personal organization and time management skills to manage priorities and workflow.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Zoho or other CRM software is a plus order management systems and WMS.
- Ability to travel within region on a regular basis.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must have a professional telephone presence.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Working across US time zones.
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting.
- Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs?
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasional loud noise.
- Occasional varying environmental temperature changes.
