About Flaneur Wines:
Flaneur Wines farms 36 acres in the Chehalem Mountains (La Belle Promenade) and 8 acres in the Ribbon Ridge (Flanerie), but we create and age our wines next to our Historic Madsen Grain Elevator in Downtown Carlton where we host our visitors.
About the Job:
We are seeking energetic and passionate individuals to join our team. This is a seasonal position with the potential to transition into a year round role for qualified candidates. The position is based at two locations: the rustic Blue Barn at our Chehalem Mountain vineyard in Newberg and our downtown tasting room at the Carlton Grain Elevator. This role requires candidates to be able to host at both locations, with flexibility and enthusiasm being key to success. You’ll have the opportunity to change up your weekly routine, keeping each day engaging and fresh. You’ll never fall into a rut working with us! Schedule is (with subject to change) Friday-Monday
Musts for the Job:
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Apply for and maintain a valid OLCC Alcohol Service Permit and a Food Handlers Card as required by the state.
• You must be a can do team-player with positive customer service skills.
• Be warm, outgoing, professional and reliable.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong passion for the wine industry, both locally and globally, with a genuine eagerness to deepen knowledge of our brand and the Willamette Valley through continuous learning and exploration.
• A deep passion for both wine and food, with prior experience in the wine and hospitality industry preferred.
• Winery experience preferred, along with a background in restaurants or any fast-paced service industry
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule across two locations, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings. Punctuality is essential.
• Previous experience with POS systems is recommended.
• Must dress professionally and adhere to Flaneur’s dress code.
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining poise, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. Proactively identifies tasks to complete during slower periods and remains engaged and productive throughout the day
• Able to lift 50lbs above shoulder height on a regular basis, be comfortable standing for long periods of time, work in rural areas, multiple stairs, lift, bend, squat, and push/pull large objects with relative ease.
• Shifts are typically 8-10 hours per day in busy season and 5-7 in off season.
• This part-time position offers a consistent schedule and requires a minimum of 4 shifts per week in the summer and 2 shifts in the winter. Club party weekends and some holiday weekends will be required (Memorial day weekend, Thanksgiving weekend etc.)
Pay is competitive with club sign up commissions, other bonuses and tips
We are looking to hire and train starting in mid May.
