Huston Vineyards Summary:
Huston Vineyards is a family-owned winery in Caldwell, Idaho, the gateway to the Sunnyslope Wine Trail. We are seeking a Wholesale Sales Representative covering a geographic territory. Sales will be with both on-premise and off-premise accounts including restaurants, grocery stores, event centers, golf courses.
Huston Vineyards Responsibilities: Position Description
Prospect, sell and maintain relationship with on-premise accounts offering business focused solutions.
Forge key relationships with on-premise buyers and serving staff to identify placement opportunities within current accounts.
Identify new key on-premise accounts in territory and key buyers and serving staff and create and execute a sales strategy for on-premise accounts.
Manage off-premise store relationships conducting store checks, filling shelves from back stock and setting up weekly deliveries as needed.
Establish good rapport with receiving clerks, wine stewards and store managers.
Establish time efficient route for delivery based on geography, receiving hours and orders to deliver.
Create & pull orders for both on-premise and off-premise accounts ensuring accurate quantities and pricing.
Work with Grocery Store Management to create in-store displays and conduct in-store tastings as time and opportunity allows.
Contact on-premise accounts for orders based on previously identified order quantities and patterns.
Position Requirements
Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
Ability and desire to cold call accounts and follow up with prospects
Able to control the sales process
Be organized and plan strategically with attention to detail
Able to establish and build rapport with variety of customers in different roles
Able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Have great interest, knowledge and passion for the wine industry
Experience with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
Able to lift and carry 50 lbs repetitively
Must have a clean driving record and pass a drug test
Must be 21 years of age.
