About
I started my career in the wine industry as a temp for harvest in 2002. I settled into bottling because I liked that it kept me busy all day. I worked my way up over the years and have learned that if you take care of your people they will take care of you. I have a unique appreciation for the folks who do the work because I was and still consider myself to be a boots on the ground type of person. In my latest positon I am grateful to have the opportunity to still be able to spend time on our production line. Just last week I was out on the line and my operator let me know that bottles were not flowing properly into our filler. I found a sensor was not quite alligned, after adjustment the bottles flowed much better. I enjoy being able to solve my teams problems without having to escalate to another department. Those also end up being good teachable moments. My most recent professional achievement is leading our bottling department through transitioning our warehousing systmes from WMS to EWM in December 2024. This included coordinating with our home office to plan and execute end user training, inventory reconcilation and shipping and receiving complexities brought on by the switch.
