Tasting Room Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tasting Room Manager to oversee our tasting room operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in customer service, ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience while enjoying our offerings. This role involves managing staff, maintaining high standards of safety and service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operations of the tasting room, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Train, supervise, and motivate staff to provide excellent service and uphold alcohol service guidelines.
Develop and implement tasting room policies and procedures to enhance guest experiences.
Coordinate with the Events Coordinator and Operations Manager to ensure seamless service during tastings and events.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room
Manage inventory of wines, tasting supplies, and merchandise; order as necessary to maintain stock levels..
Engage with guests to provide information about our products, answer questions, and promote sales.
Strong understanding of POS from both the customer facing side and back office

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality management or a related field within the wine or service industry.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
A passion for wine or beverages is highly desirable.
Must be able to lift 40+ lbs and stand for long periods of time.
Solid computer skills including knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and familiar with Canva
Upon Hiring, will be required to obtain the following certificates: Iowa IPACT Alcohol Service and Serve Safe Food Handling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
