Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Wine Tender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bartending or catering, with a keen interest in wine and beverage service. As a Wine Tender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting guests with their wine selections and ensuring a memorable experience.

Duties

Greet and assist guests in selecting wines that complement their meals or preferences.
Serve wine and other beverages in accordance with established standards.
Maintain an organized and clean work area, including the wine service station.
Handle cash transactions accurately using cash registers or POS systems.
Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
Provide support during banquets and special events, ensuring all guests receive attentive service.
Educate guests about different wine varieties, regions, and pairings to enhance their dining experience.
Monitor inventory levels of wines and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in bartending, catering, or restaurant environments is preferred.
Strong cash handling skills with experience using cash registers or POS systems.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
A passion for wine and willingness to learn about different varieties and regions.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events or peak times.
