Position Overview: This position is a upper level leadership position at an event venue, bar, and restaurant. The Director of Sales, Marketing, & Events is responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle pertaining to wedding and event bookings. This includes setting a strategic plan for developing sales strategies and new opportunities for sales. The Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events is also responsible for overseeing the Event Logistics Manager and Marketing Director to set direction for our events platform, ensure all aspects of our event delivery model is competitive and up-to-standards, and develop strategies to book more events. This is a full-time position with the option for growth in alignment with the financial growth of the business.
Duties:
● Oversees every aspect of the event sales cycle
● Updates and maintains all sales materials
● Uses creativity to create client-facing sales materials using Canva
● Meets with potential clients in person, provides tours, and follows up on
inquiries
● Responds to all wedding and event inquiries within 24 hours. Maintains
a high touch point sales cycle with each client
● Manages each step of the sales cycle through booking
● Works with the Event Logistics Manager to warmly “hand off” clients after they have signed an event contract
● Understands the wedding, event, and restaurant industries with deep
knowledge of standards, trends, and market competition
● Ability to creatively set direction for the Marketing Manager regarding
the development and execution of digital marketing materials and
campaigns
● Sets marketing and sales operational objectives at least annually and
provides updates on progress to the Owner/CEO quarterly
● Oversees the Marketing and Events Managers. Responsible for setting
direction for both employees and managing their career
development/progress.
● Prepares and completes big-picture marketing and sales action plans.
● Prepares wedding and event package pricing options in coordination
with the leadership team, including the Event Manager, consistent
with market competitors in the industry
● Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting
requirements and preparing annual budgets.
● Initiate the sales cycle with all new or potential clients through the
signing of the event contract. This includes conducting, or
appropriately delegating, initial response to inquiries, email/text
campaigns, and conducting tours with potential clients to show
rental spaces and packages.
● Review sales cycle strategies and materials quarterly, providing an
update to the leadership team on areas for improvement.
● In collaboration with the CEO, set annual and gross-profit plans by
forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for events
● Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing,
implementing, and evaluating ads, promotions, and sales cycles
● Identifies marketing opportunities by understanding consumer and
industry needs
● Improves venue marketability and profitability by researching,
identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
● Sustains rapport with key stakeholders by making network connectons
and maintaining ongoing professional relationships
● Provides information to the CEO regarding sales and marketing
strategies by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
● Attends Chamber of Commerce events, galas, national conventions for
venue industry leaders, and promotional events
● Model a culture of civility and good work citizenship to all employees
through behavior and appearance.
● Obtain and maintain a license to serve alcohol to provide oversight to
servers during events in the case where one is not licensed.

Work Hours and Benefits:
Work is 40 hours per week. This position is a hybrid position, allowing for flexibility to work from home and in the office.
Technology required for this position is provided by the employer, including a
company MacBook Pro laptop and applicable software. Benefits are out of
pocket, however a cash difference in compensation may be negotiated.

Pod), create spreadsheets and Google documents, social media, Canva,

Education and Experience Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing in the event,
entertainment, or restaurant industries

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
