Position(s): Part-Time Wine Stewards
Summary of Position: Winery staff members are versatile and dynamic. They are bright, outgoing people who provide great customer service, help keep our facilities attractive and festive, and ensure all alcohol related rules are followed.
We are looking for part time staff to work Sundays & Mondays from 11am to 5:30 pm shifts. A great part time opportunity to work with fun seeking customers wanting to learn more about wine.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities for Customer Service:
Greet guests and introduce them to Easley Winery.
Manage each guests experience when they visit Easley Winery via wine sampling, ringing up wine sales and occasional special events, with humor, courtesy, friendliness, enthusiasm, and accolades.
Pour-wine tastings -self guided table top in the Arbor Room or outside in the Wine Garden (weather permitting).
Assist guests with wine selections, discount program, and proactive upselling.
Active training to develop your knowledge of the winery, wine, and grapes. Be knowledgeable about all Easley wines from sampling them, and the sell sheet wine descriptions. We train you about wine.
Answer telephone and check voicemail.
Perform other tasks as necessary and as requested by the Lead, or Manager.
Essential Functions & Expectation for Operations:
Assist with opening & closing procedures.
Support day-to-day tasting room operations, retail services, and running the cash register.
General facility maintenance such as take out the trash, stocking & cleaning tasting room restrooms, table cloth laundry & watering flowers.
Office and clerical functions, when not serving guests.
Available to work Sundays and Mondays from 11 am to 5:30 pm. Other shifts may be available throughout the week if you would want additional work hours.
Able to routinely lift 40 lbs. - a case of wine.
Cash Register -paid training provided.
Adhere to rules, regulations, and company policies, present and future that are published for employees.
Must be 21 years of age and able to obtain an Indiana alcohol server’s license from the state of Indiana. Must be able to pass a background check.
