Job Title: Vineyard Manager
Status: Full-Time
Location: Rockville Utah
I/G Winery is recruiting for a full time vineyard manager to work in our Rockville vineyard. The job duties will include the following responsibilities:
- Maintain the general health of the vineyard by caring for all the mechanical and botanical aspects of viticulture.
- Maintain the trellis system, repairing broken wire as needed.
- Maintain the drip irrigation system, repairing leaks, drippers, and connections. Make sure pump valves are maintained and in good working order.
- Fertilize vines as needed
- Prune and tie vines
- Mow vineyard grasses and maintain weed and grass growth between and under vine rows, using mower and trimmers.
- Manage pest control as directed
- Operate vineyard equipment as needed
- Help with harvest and special events that are held in the vineyard
Physical Requirements:
This position requires you to work outdoors in various types of weather:
- Must be able to walk, stand, for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to crouch, bend over and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have a reliable vehicle and current drivers license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
