Easley Winery is a 52-year-old, third-generation, family-owned winery based in downtown Indianapolis. We produce 30+ wine SKUs annually across five brands, including wine cocktails, control label wines, and sparkling wines — with a focus on approachable, sweet, fruit-forward wines priced under $10 a bottle. Our brands are distributed through the three-tier alcohol system across the Midwest and beyond.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and driven District Sales Manager to join our three-person sales team. This is a field-first role — you will spend the majority of your time building relationships, developing accounts, and growing our brand presence across Indiana, with occasional shared sales responsibilities in Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan.
Your primary focus will be off-premise accounts — grocery chains and independent retailers — with occasional calls on on-premise restaurant accounts. This role offers a great deal of autonomy alongside strong team support. When evening or weekend commitments arise, we flex scheduling to keep your workweek at 40 hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a strong in-market presence 5 days per week, engaging directly with accounts, distributors, and the broader market.
- Build and manage relationships with buyers, managers, and key decision-makers across all accounts in your territory.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with distributor sales teams throughout Indiana.
- Identify sales opportunities and market challenges; develop and execute creative solutions.
- Partner with the National Accounts Director to execute store planograms, POS placement, and seasonal/holiday programs.
- Conduct periodic ride-alongs with distributor sales reps to reinforce Easley/Reggae brand education and shelf standards.
- Perform occasional in-store wine tastings and represent the brand at wine events and festivals alongside our event team and distributor partners.
- Attend distributor sales meetings as needed.
- Expect 1–2 overnight trips per month — typically a two-day market visit to Northern Indiana or surrounding state.
- Communicate daily market conditions, account updates, and product opportunities to the broader sales team via email reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 3–5 years of professional sales experience; familiarity with the three-tier alcohol distribution system is strongly preferred.
- Valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving record; must be insurable under the company's auto insurance policy.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a wine salesperson license in Indiana and other states in our sales territory.
- Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift a 40-lb. case of wine.
- We will provide full training on our wine portfolio, brands, and the Midwest regional wine landscape — wine expertise is not required.
