WHO WE ARE:
Kros Strain Brewing is a production brewery located in LaVista, Nebraska (Omaha Metro area). Known for our popular Hazy IPAs and Cornhusker Crusher, the Official Craft Beer of Nebraska Athletics. We also brew a wide range of beers, including lagers, sour and barrel-aged styles, and experiment with ingredients and processes routinely. The brewery has a custom 20bbl 4-vessel brewhouse capable of multiple batches per day. We package in 12 and 16oz cans with an ABE 70cpm filler, ABE depalletizer, Filtec, and Pak Tech Applicator. Kros Strain Brewing is located within minutes of 4 other breweries and a distillery, right off of a bike path, and within the Exit 442 Fermentation District in the Omaha metro area. Complete cellar processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) including but not limited to
- Perform daily measurements and sensory analysis of product in process
- Dry hopping
- Fruit additions
- Carbonation
- Fermentation Monitoring
- Sanitary yeast harvesting & handling
- Data collection
- Clean in Place (CIP) & Sanitation in Place (SIP) of various fermentation vessels.
- Keg cleaning
- Ensure cleanliness in all areas of the cellar
Aid in beer packaging including but not limited to
- Sanitary filling of kegs
- Assisting canning line when needed
- Transfer packaged beer to appropriate storage locations
- Inventory & maintenance of cooler
- Maintain & clean taproom draft system
Support shipping & receiving as necessary including but not limited to
- Stage orders for distribution accurately
- First In First Out (FIFO) of all finished goods.
- Ensuring taprooms have access to any inventory needed.
- Ensure cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on various equipment
- Receive raw materials, rotate inventory(FIFO), and take monthly inventories.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment
- Follow all safety regulations at all times including use of PPE
- Ability to multi task, using good time management
- Fork Lift certified or ability to obtain certification within a timely manner.
- Able to work weekends and events
- Able to lift up to 55lbs regularly and move up to 160lbs as needed.
- Must be available during production hours between 6AM-6PM Monday through Friday
Once proficient in the above duties, weekends will be required on a rotating basis with other brewery staff. Roughly one weekend a month. This position does have the ability to advance into a brewer position that will include the above mentioned duties along with brewing duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
This is a Monday through Friday full-time position.

Depending on prior experience this position will start pay during a training period at $18-$20 per hour or based on experience level, with an increase once the candidate is off training.
