Job Summary
We are seeking a Vineyard Worker to join our team part time. The ideal candidates will be responsible for various tasks related to the cultivation and maintenance of wine grape vines on a new vineyard. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors in a dynamic agricultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Primary duties in spring relate to trellis and fence repair and maintenance.
- Assist in planting new vines in spring.
- Operate power tools and hand tools for vineyard maintenance.
- Must have a valid PA Driver License and be capable of operating a vineyard tractor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of vineyard tasks.
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and operating heavy equipment.
- Experience working in a vineyard is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work standing or walking for extended periods on rough and uneven terrain, and work in the outdoors during inclement weather.
This is an entry level position. However, the right person can use this position to develop skills and knowledge and grow to a full time position with benefits and increasing responsibility.
