Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Vineyard Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting vineyard operations through hands-on work that promotes healthy vine growth and optimal fruit production. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of our agricultural goals, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. Job Requirements:
- Diligent work ethic
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to follow specific and detailed instructions
- Physically capable of working outside all day, year round
- Be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs safely off the ground
- Spanish speaking not required but a plus
- Drivers license is not required but a plus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (According to industry best practices):
- Vine management throughout the year:
- Prune, remove detritus, train vines into trellising, suckering, shoot thinning, leaf
pulling, hedging, netting, harvesting, planting
- Observe and report vineyard status and changes throughout the season.
- Look out for the safety of yourself and all persons working in and around the vineyard
- Report to work site on time
- Responsible for all cultural practices in the vineyard
- Continually show the following traits: honest, desire to learn, common sense, and
attention to detail
Mid-Atlantic Viticultural Services (MAVS) is looking for motivated individuals that are able to work together as part of a team to maintain the functionality and beauty of vineyards in the Mid-Atlantic. MAVS is a company interested in hiring people of upright moral character as well as a diligent and honest work ethic. This position will require individuals to work outside in many different weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and windy conditions. Working in vineyards will require individuals to continually learn and pay attention to their surroundings.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
