Do you have a passion for winemaking and want to grow & develop your skills in
a successful and growing winery? We are seeking a positive and collaborative
individual to work closely with the owner to ensure the process and operations
from vine to bottle are completed productively and with high quality to meet the
demands of our wine club members, customers and wholesalers. This is a critical
role with opportunity for growth, as we grow and plant our new vineyard and build
a new, larger tasting room and event facility. Key responsibilities include planning
and executing day to day production activities related to harvest, fermentation,
barrel topping and racking, bottling preparation, sanitation, organization and
cleanliness; maintaining equipment and building upkeep; preparing shipments and
cases for wholesale orders; and assisting with other projects or events, as
necessary. Ideal candidates will have winemaking/enology education and/or
experience, strong time management/project management skills, excellent
communication/collaboration skills and strong attention to detail. Physical
requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend/twist/climb ladders
regularly and an ability to stand for long periods. While there is a heavy schedule
during harvest season and during some other peak periods, the typical schedule is
8am-5pm, M-F (with some flexibility).'
