Bravante Vineyards, a boutique Napa Valley Winery, is hiring a Tasting Room Coordinator/Sales Associate in Newport Beach, CA. The Lido Tasting Room is Bravante Vineyard’s Orange County satellite location, providing Newport Beach, CA with a small tasting room and wine bar experience.
Role Description
The Lido Tasting Room host is responsible for greeting guests, facilitating wine tastings, making sales, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for visitors. This is a part-time position located in Newport Beach, CA. The position will require in-person work on the weekends, and will offer a few shifts per month. If you would like to make some extra cash on a few Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays each month, this position is for you.
Responsibilities
- Host in the tasting room: You will be required to host several shifts per month in the Tasting Room. These shifts occur on Friday nights (5-9pm), Saturdays (2-9pm) and Sundays (2-9pm).
- Help guests with wine selection: After some training, you will be able to talk about our wine list with customers and help them choose a suitable wine.
- Clean the tasting room and account for inventory: At the end of each shift, spend 15 minutes cleaning the tasting room and recording the day's inventory.
Requirements
- We need an excellent communicator with a friendly demeanor. This job requires a high level of quality customer interaction, and we need someone who can deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- While this is not a requirement, we would prefer to see an undergraduate degree in hospitality, management, or another related field.
- We would prefer to see 0.5-2 years of work experience in a service/hospitality role.
- While we would prefer for you to have knowledge or experience in the wine industry, we do not require it. We need someone who is curious and willing to learn about wine on the job. Most importantly, we need someone who can bring enthusiasm that will inspire others to get excited about wine.
- You must have the legal right to work in California and be at least 21 years old. We also require the ability to get to and from the Tasting Room without our assistance.
Compensation
- Compensation will be paid hourly based on the individual’s experience. A percentage-based commission will also be applied to all wine sales at the Tasting Room.
