Tasting Room Brand Ambassador
REPORTS TO: WINERY GENERAL MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of and the direct supervision of the General Manager/Tasting Room Manager, the Tasting Room Brand Ambassador is responsible for efficiently and effectively promoting the sale of wine, food menu items, merchandise and non-wine products through customer service and providing consumers with a meaningful wine tasting and experience. All efforts are focused on attaining monthly sales goals while providing gracious hospitality to Wine Club members and guests, customers, and trade.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Greets all visitors to the Tasting Room, pours wines for tasting, discusses wine and responds to customer questions as appropriate.
· Ensures that every visitor enjoys their wine tasting experience and leaves with a very high impression of our wines.
· Is knowledgeable about wines, accurately describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, appellations, and unique aspects of wines.
· Effectively promotes and sells wine and Wine Club memberships to customers.
· Handles routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register, accounting of daily sales, and processing returns and discounts.
· Must help prep and/or make customer food orders
· Completes daily opening and closing procedures 100% and within proper time requirements.
· Takes the initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, our brands, general hospitality, and for acquiring effective sales techniques and acumen.
· Participates in company-sponsored wine educational and development opportunities.
· Executes proper service and busing procedures.
· Participates and assists with special hospitality events that occur at the tasting room and winery.
· Washes and polishes glassware for Tasting Room.
· Maintains proper inventory levels for all tasting room products.
· Conducts weekly inventories (wine, food, merch, dry and paper goods)
· Responsible for following all TABC rules and Regulations
· Responsible for following all Proper Health Department Rules and Regulations
· Responsible for Following All Turtle Creek Policies and Procedures (See employee handbook)
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Food managers or handlers Certificate
· TABC seller/server certificate
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
