Daniel’s Vineyard is a high-end winery known for crafting memorable experiences and premium wines in a luxurious setting. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Event Sales Manager to join our Events Department and help grow our private and public events business.
This role is focused on sales — from lead generation and client outreach to closing deals and driving revenue. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building relationships, skilled in event sales, and ready to represent Daniel’s Vineyard with professionalism and enthusiasm in the community and beyond.
Compensation:
Base salary + commission
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, with flexibility for evening and weekend events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate new leads through outreach, networking, referrals, and community engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, wedding planners, and other event professionals
- Respond to inquiries, schedule and host property tours, and deliver tailored proposals to prospective clients
- Close sales and achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets for private events, weddings, and corporate functions
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and track sales activities using CRM or relevant sales tools
- Collaborate with marketing to promote event offerings and campaigns, both onsite and offsite
- Represent Daniel’s Vineyard at networking events, trade shows, and offsite functions
- Serve as a brand ambassador and promote the unique experience of events at the vineyard
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff of event details post-sale
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, or similar customer-facing sales roles (luxury/winery/event venue experience preferred)
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Knowledge and passion for wine and event trends is a plus
- Proficient with sales software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license and be able to work evenings and weekends as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $46,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience - combination of salary & commission)
