Job description
We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking Events Manager to help our team succeed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event management and personal skills, with the ability to create lasting relationships that resonate with our target audience. This role requires a strategic thinker who can multitask. The Job has a base salary with a commission on private event closing.
Duties
● Manages and implements marketing plans and strategies in concert with V.P.
● Assists in the development of events with V.P. for promotions, including wine
club events, special group tasting events, tastings, off-site events, and facility
● Creates and maintains quality relationships with customers, including private
individuals, corporate event coordinators, destination management companies,
winery vendors, colleagues, individuals, corporate event coordinators, destination management companies, winery vendors, colleagues, and management.
● Oversees Private Event procurement and execution by finalizing contracts and
vendor agreements, and coordination with event planners and caterers.
● Point person for Media relations
● Develop and maintain relationships within the industry, including VWA, VA Wine
Marketing Office, LWA, FWA, and attend local meetings with associations on a
regular basis.
● Create and execute Eblast
Experience
- Proven experience in event management or similar positions.
- Strong skills in copywriting and content creation for various media formats.
- Proficiency in Canva for designing event marketing materials.
- Familiarity with digital marketing techniques, including email marketing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Creating engaging content across various platforms, including website, social media, email campaigns, and search engine advertising.
- Upselling reservations to events.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
