Winery/Farm Assistant
Gravity Vineyards & Winery is a growing operation in Baroda, Michigan. We manage 30 acres of grapes and produce still and sparkling wines and ciders. We are looking for a motivated individual that would like to work in the wine industry with the opportunity to build their skills and grow with the company. This position is approximately 40 hours per week: Typically Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30ish. Saturday’s may occasionally be required and hours may vary seasonally.
This position will be involved in many aspects of the business, including but not limited to:
- Vineyard establishment
- Vineyard maintenance
- Bottling
- Fruit processing
- Wine production
- Grounds maintenance and improvement
Requirements to be Considered
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to be to work on time every day
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to follow instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Physically fit
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to bend, squat, crawl
- Various other physically demanding jobs
- Previous experience in beverage production and/or agriculture is a plus
- And of course…ethical, honest, and hard working.
Compensation Starting at $15-20 per hr depending on experience
