Overview

Two K Farms Cidery and Winery is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to assist and support the Winemaker in the production of high-quality wine and cider!

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate the movement of materials within the cellar.
Sanitate all equipment and work areas to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols to ensure product quality and safety.
Assist in the packaging of finished products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs on equipment.
Maintain accurate records of production activities and report any discrepancies or concerns to management.
Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Ability to work long hours during harvest and busy times of the year.
Assist in the day-to-day operation of the winery and will perform a wide range of tasks – from processing fruit, through fermentation, to finishing, maturing, and bottling/canning product.
Operate cellar equipment including but not limited to pumps, presses, crusher/de-stemmer, plate and frame filters, and/or cross-flow filtration.
Moving, racking, blending, and bottling/canning product.
Filling, emptying, and topping oak barrels and casks.
Sanitation and cleanliness of tanks, hoses, pumps, and winery equipment.
Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and tractor.
Other duties assigned by supervisor and owners.

Experience

Previous experience in the food industry or fermentation is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
