Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our special events team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mixing and serving drinks to patrons, directly interacting with customers, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Responsibilities

Have knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
Verify the customers’ age
Mix traditional and creative cocktails
Process payments through in house system
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Assist in keeping inventory of what has come out and going back in at the end of an event
Pulling beverages for the event based off BEO
Setting bar up with ice, garnish, mixers, making sure all beverages get in ice that needs to be iced and setting glass wear behind the bar
Making sure that there is enough product for the night or if they are running low to notify the lead or captain to pull more.
End of the night duties to make sure all bar items, utensils, and décor get washed and put back in their designated location
Calculate all inventory at the end of the event and distribute it to the designated location with assist of manager or lead on duty

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting preferred
Knowledge of retail math for handling payments accurately
Familiarity with operating a cash register
Understanding of food safety practices
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service
Sales skills to promote drinks and engage customers
Banquet experience is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
