Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Wine and Cider Maker to lead our production team in crafting exceptional wines and ciders. This role is pivotal in overseeing the entire production process, from fermentation to bottling, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, particularly in brewing, and have a keen understanding of food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee the entire wine and cider production process, including fermentation, aging, blending, and bottling.
Develop and implement recipes for new wines and ciders while maintaining consistency in flavor profiles.
Ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards throughout the production process.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products while coordinating with warehouse staff for efficient packaging and fabrication.
Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure product excellence and adherence to food safety protocols.
Train and supervise production staff on best practices for sanitation, equipment operation, and safety measures.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop product branding strategies that resonate with consumers.
Maintain accurate records of production processes, ingredient sourcing, and quality assessments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in wine or cider production with a strong understanding of brewing techniques.
Familiarity with food industry standards including HACCP and CGMP regulations.
Mechanical knowledge related to winery equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate across departments.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the production area.
