Job Title: Tasting Room Lead

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival to the tasting room.
Provide knowledgeable and engaging descriptions of our wines and our winemaking process.
Conduct tastings and effectively communicate tasting notes and product information to guests.
Assist guests in selecting products and offer recommendations based on their preferences.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) system (Commerce7).
Utilize our reservation system proficiently to check in groups and schedule reservations for customers.
Have a comprehensive understanding of our various Wine Club options and actively promote membership enrollment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including restocking shelves and cleaning glassware.
Uphold all relevant health and safety standards, including responsible alcohol service practices.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations of the tasting room.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Complete California RBS Certification within 30 days of hire.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a tasting room or similar environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Basic knowledge of wines, the wine industry, and Paso Robles wine country.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects (e.g., cases of wine).
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company.
