A Rare Opportunity to Help Shape the Future of an Entrepreneurial Premium Consumer Brand

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially driven leader who has built their career within large, structured organisations and is now looking for something more entrepreneurial, agile, and personally rewarding.

Our client is a highly regarded founder-led premium consumer goods business with an established international presence, strong brand equity, and ambitious plans for future growth. The company has reached an exciting stage in its evolution and is creating a new Vice President Sales & Marketing role to help unlock the next phase of development.

Reporting directly to the owner and founder, this role offers the chance to influence every aspect of the commercial agenda. You'll have genuine autonomy, a direct voice at the decision-making table, and the opportunity to see your ideas translated into action without layers of bureaucracy or complex corporate structures.

For experienced leaders who enjoy building, creating, and making an impact, this represents the kind of role that rarely comes to market.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Many senior commercial leaders reach a point where they become frustrated by slow decision-making, matrix organisations, internal politics, and the distance between strategy and execution.

This role offers a genuine alternative.

You will join a successful family-owned business where decisions happen quickly, leadership is visible, and individual contribution has a direct impact on business performance.

The owner remains deeply passionate about the brand, innovation, and long-term vision, and is looking for a trusted commercial partner who can take ownership of the day-to-day commercial operation while helping shape the future direction of the company.

This is an opportunity to utilise the full breadth of your leadership experience across sales, commercial strategy, route-to-market, people development, customer engagement, and marketing execution in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

The Role

As Vice President Sales & Marketing, you will have overall responsibility for driving sustainable commercial growth across domestic and international markets.

Working closely with the owner, you will translate strategic ambitions into practical execution, ensuring strong performance across sales, marketing, and customer-facing functions.

Key responsibilities include:

Commercial Leadership

Lead the overall commercial strategy and growth agenda.
Translate business objectives into actionable sales plans and market initiatives.
Drive profitable growth across customers, channels, and geographies.
Identify new opportunities for market expansion and brand development.
Develop plans to accelerate performance in underdeveloped or underperforming areas of the business.

Sales Excellence

Lead and develop a high-performing sales organisation.
Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and performance.
Establish clear KPIs, reporting structures, and performance metrics.
Coach and develop commercial leaders and future talent.

Marketing & Brand Execution

Partner closely with the owner on brand direction and strategic priorities.
Ensure successful delivery and execution of all marketing initiatives.
Align marketing activity with commercial objectives and growth ambitions.
Enhance organisational capability through talent development and recruitment where required.

Strategic Partnerships & Representation

Build and strengthen key customer and partner relationships.
Represent the business with senior stakeholders across the industry.
Serve as a trusted ambassador for the company and its brands.

Ideal Background

We are especially interested in candidates coming from premium, lifestyle-led consumer sectors where brand-building and commercial excellence go hand in hand.

Relevant experience may include:

Premium Spirits
Wine & Champagne
Premium Beverages
Luxury Consumer Goods
Lifestyle Brands
Premium FMCG

Successful candidates will typically bring:

A proven track record of delivering commercial growth in premium consumer categories.
Experience leading multi-channel sales organisations.
Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on approach.
The ability to thrive within entrepreneurial and founder-led environments.
Experience working closely with owners, founders, or senior leadership teams.
Strong leadership and people-development capabilities.
A passion for brands, culture, and building businesses.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

This opportunity is particularly attractive for senior commercial leaders who:

Have spent years navigating large corporate environments and are ready for something more agile.
Want greater ownership and influence over business decisions.
Enjoy working directly with founders and entrepreneurs.
Prefer action over bureaucracy.
Want to leave a visible legacy within a growing premium brand business.
Are excited by the prospect of helping shape a company's future rather than simply managing part of a large organisation.

For the right individual, this role offers a unique combination of commercial challenge, entrepreneurial freedom, and direct access to ownership that is rarely available in larger corporate settings.
