Position: Servers

Locations: Historic Downtown Geneva and Batavia on the Fox River

Geneva Winery, known for its exceptional wine and beautiful locations in downtown Geneva and Batavia, is seeking enthusiastic and capable individuals passionate about wine to join our team. We are opening a new tasting room in downtown Batavia, and the ability to work in both locations is a plus!

Ideal Candidates Should:

Be professional and polished
Have great attention to detail
Possess a minimum of 2 years of prior service experience

Skills/Responsibilities:

Wine sales experience preferred
Provide superior guest service
Have complete knowledge of legal drinking age and procedures
Perform duties outside of the server position as assigned by supervisors/management
Accurately enter orders into the Point of Sales System
Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties as assigned
Handle cash proficiently
Follow safety and sanitization practices
Display a positive attitude, be a team player, and exhibit a strong work ethic
Enjoy interacting with the public
Thrive in a busy environment

Requirements:

Wine knowledge
Two years of guest service/hospitality experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
High School diploma or equivalent
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift 40-50 lbs frequently without concern
Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
Illinois BASSET certification or ability to acquire upon hire
