Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Winery Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that our wines are crafted with the highest quality standards. This position involves various tasks related to sanitation, packaging, and overall support in the winery environment.

Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with Saturday and overtime in September and October during harvest.

Winery workers are required to be in excellent health and capable of sustained, strenuous physical activity. Worker activities include, but are not limited to, all aspects of grape crushing, pressing, and harvesting activities; winery cellar operations; tank cleaning; clarification and filtration operations; sanitation procedures; bottling and packaging activities; order assembly; shipping and receiving operations. Mastery-level reading and writing in English and competency in basic mathematics is required.

Responsibilities

Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds safely and without assistance.
Ability to lift, bend, rotate, and carry boxes weighing 45 pounds repeatedly for an 8-hour shift.
Ability to deploy, ascend, and descend ladders safely and without assistance.
Ability to ingress and egress wine tanks through a standard 18" tank manway.
Ability to work within confined spaces.
Be free of Asthma or other Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases. Candidates with a history of Asthma/COPD must supply a physician's statement permitting them to work in atmospheres containing trace levels of Sulfur Dioxide and/or Ozone (within current OSHA PEL).

Experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred.
Familiarity with sanitation practices within the food industry is essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a plus.
Experience in brewing or craft beer production will be considered an asset.
Mechanical knowledge related to winery equipment operation is advantageous.
