Job Summary:
The Country Club of Vermont is seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist our Executive Chef with the daily operations of our kitchen and catering services. This key leadership role requires strong team management skills and a deep understanding of the food industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu plans, considering dietary restrictions, seasonal ingredients, and member preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Mentor and train kitchen staff alongside our highly experienced Executive Chef.
Skills:
- Strong team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of individuals.
- Extensive knowledge of the food industry, including current trends and best practices.
- Experience in shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods.
- Familiarity with catering services, including banquet setup and execution.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $57,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
