This role will be leading the sales launch of a new brand under the Mollydooker Group of Companies.
About the Opportunity: This role is WFH and will be based in the Miami area of Florida. Travel is required.
For this exciting new role, the Sales Manager will report directly to the Global Sales Manager, and they will successfully contribute to the promotion and sale of wines in the Mollydooker Group of Companies portfolio to distributors, retailers, restaurants, and will collaborate with the team to build direct to consumer (DTC) market customers for the new brand. The Sales Manager will build strong enduring relationships and will embrace the Mollydooker culture and our Agreed Behaviours, adhering to the Company mission of ‘Attention to Detail and Commitment to Excellence.’
Responsibilities & Duties
- Leading and managing new brand sales nationally across the US.
- Activities include achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, forecasting distributor sales, allocations, quarterly phone calls with brand managers, market visits, GSMs, staff trainings, pricing, promotions, sales incentives, marketing strategy, launches of upcoming wines, opportunities, depletion allowances and reporting.
- Emphasizing the sale and depletion of assigned wine brands in ON and OFF premise channels.
- Training and driving the awareness of the Mollydooker Shake for Distributors sales teams, ON and OFF premise clients for Mollydooker WInes.
- Developing and executing a business plan managing depletions on a monthly and annual basis.
- Grow relationships with key players in each market.
- Working in-market by conducting account calls, sales meetings, and hosting wine dinners, tastings, special events etc.
- Attending in-country events and set-up visits for Aussie team members as required.
- Traveling to top markets identified by the Global Sales Manager.
- Reporting on wine consumer trends and wine market fluctuations.
- Understanding and promoting the Mollydooker Shake™, Marquis Fruit Weight™, Marquis Vineyard Watering Program™, and the Mollydooker story.
- Working efficiently and effectively with members of the Distribution, Direct to Consumer, Marketing, Logistics, Finance and all other Mollydooker teams.
- Reporting weekly activity, manage and update distribution communication log and a monthly full business review on market performance, budget review and trends/competitor trends.
- Represent Mollydooker as an authentic and premium business through in-person, email, and phone interactions, and represent the new brand within the brand guidelines.
Knowledge And Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales with demonstrated experience in key account management, and B2B sales.
- Must understand and demonstrate the ability to sell a premium brand.
- National Account experience within ON and OFF premise preferred.
- Established relationships and access to key buyers in each market preferred.
- Proven ability to prospect new business and achieve sales targets.
- Ability to create and maintain productive and positive relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Articulate in both written and oral communication in English including the capacity to negotiate effectively, listen, and to positively influence others.
- Confidence in networking and hosting events, along with strong public speaking skills.
- A proactive problem solver who demonstrates initiative and innovative thinking.
- Comprehensive understanding of the US wine industry, its trends, products, competitive issues, and business opportunities, along with understanding of global wine regions.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and e-commerce platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 50lbs (e.g.: one case of wine).
